The second of my three costumes for WonderCon '10, and one of my favorites: Patsy Walker AKA Hellcat, from Marvel.

If you have a chance, go to your LCS and order the "Patsy Walker: Hellcat" collected trade. It's a fun romp with great art and you won't regret buying it. Patsy's a riot in it and it's that trade that made me fall in love with her in the first place.

Construction-wise, I bought the yellow bodysuit on ebay and ~blameshiori's mom very graciously took it in to fit me properly. I had the boots and gloves, and the sash is just spandex tied and pinned into place.

The mask is a modified Dark Knight Batman mask that I hacked and sewed into the proper shape. I owe ~blameshiori big time for letting me borrow her head for three hours so I could get the mask shape right. I vectored the eyebrows and cut them from yellow vinyl, and my friend Matt helped me put them on straight, as well as coming up with the idea to use dry-erase laminate over the eyehole chiffon to make it harder to see my eyes.

That is a FIERCE outfit! So what material was the helmet made from?

And LOL, love Hellcat, so underappreciated. Is there anything more divariffic than a superhero who is a model by day?! XD

Thank you! I agree, she's totally underappreciated.

The helmet's actually a modified Dark Knight Batman mask, so I'm not sure if it's latex, pvc, or something else. The grey parts are the back side of faux suede, and the eyebrows are done with vinyl.

Oh my gosh, that was you as Hellcat? I saw you walking around in that costume from my artist alley table, it was one of my favorites! :D

I love the modification of the mask. Simple and yet totally effective. I've only flipped through the trade but I definitely recognized it!
